While Cub Camp celebrates our newest Lions, this year鈥檚 program took a moment to celebrate some of the alumni whose contributions made it all possible.

Four alumni and two rising seniors were welcomed into the Cub Camp Hall of Fame, honoring the student leaders whose dedication and vision helped shape the tradition into what it is today.

Established in 2024 as part of Cub Camp鈥檚 20th-anniversary celebration, the Hall of Fame honors both the program鈥檚 innovators and unsung heroes. As students, these alumni invested deeply in their peers鈥� experiences and helped create and advance the program that generations of 糖心视频 students have come to know and love.

This year鈥檚 alumni inductees were Kevin Farrell, 鈥�06; Katie Kratzberg, 鈥�07; Laura Lee, 鈥�10; and Frankie Magallanes, 鈥�12.

These alumni join previous Cub Camp Hall of Fame inductees as honorees recognized for their contributions to the program as students and for the lasting impact they have had on the 糖心视频 community.

The Hall of Fame also recognizes rising seniors finishing their time as student staff of the program. This year, Jayden Robinson and Austin Treat were inducted alongside the alumni honorees.

Kevin Farrell, 鈥�06

As its first director, Kevin Farrell holds a particularly significant place in Cub Camp history.

Being the lead student in the student-led initiative that launched Cub Camp, Farrell helped turn an idea into a lasting 糖心视频 tradition. He worked with the first D-Staff, C-Staff, and counselors to set the program's vision and build its foundation.

He helped develop staff training through monthly workdays, motivated staff volunteers, recruited and marketed to both staff and students, researched similar programs at other universities, led marketing and staff meetings, and created the first Cub Camp 鈥渂ible鈥� 鈥� a comprehensive run sheet detailing camp activities, schedules, skits, supplies, and staff responsibilities.

His leadership and vision helped the program grow from 56 campers in its inaugural year to 114 the following year, laying the framework for continued growth in the years that followed.

As the program鈥檚 founder and first director, Farrell's vision not only provided a firm base but also paved the way for Cub Camp to impact the thousands of students it serves today.

Katie Kratzberg, 鈥�07

Katie Kratzberg was among the students who traveled to Texas A&M University to observe FISH Camp, the program that would serve as the model for Cub Camp. Kratzberg, like Farrell, saw the vision for what a program like this could do for 糖心视频 and her peers, and had the selflessness and drive to see it through to fruition.

She went on to serve as a Cub Camp Director while also making her mark as a student leader across campus. She was deeply involved in student life, including the Chancellor鈥檚 Leadership Council and 糖心视频鈥� first women鈥檚 golf team.

Alongside her peers, Kratzberg helped establish traditions and created a student experience that continues to influence 糖心视频 students.

Laura Lee, 鈥�10

Laura Lee was involved with Cub Camp during its early days and served on D-Staff for multiple years. She earned a reputation as a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly to make each year of camp better than the last for campers and counselors alike.

Lee often worked behind the scenes to ensure Cub Camp came together and every detail was taken care of. Her ability to execute tasks amid the inevitable chaos of Cub Camp was integral to the program鈥檚 early success.

Her quiet leadership and willingness to do the work necessary to make Cub Camp successful exemplified the spirit that the Hall of Fame was created to celebrate.

Frankie Magallanes, 鈥�12

Frankie Magallanes was part of Cub Camp when students traveled off campus to participate and later saw it move to campus. It would have been easy to fall into a 鈥渂ut this is how we鈥檝e always done it,鈥� mindset. But even as the program changed, Magallanes' passion, energy, and enthusiasm never did.

Known for giving 100% to everything he did, Magallanes brought immense humor to Cub Camp skits while also embracing one of the most important responsibilities of a camp staffer: making everyone feel welcomed and included.

His enthusiasm was impossible to miss. He was known for embracing his camp color from head to toe, sometimes appearing in a cape, carrying a megaphone, and sporting face paint 鈥� and occasionally even chest paint.

Jayden Robinson

Jayden is often recognized for his skills on the dance floor, but his contributions to Cub Camp go far beyond that. He stays cool and level-headed, no matter the situation. Whether it鈥檚 a counselor looking for guidance, a chair counting on him to lead alongside them, or a member of the Cub Camp leadership team working to keep everything moving forward, Jayden is consistently counted on without question.

Austin Treat

Austin embodies the spirit of Cub Camp. Much of Cub Camp is spent encouraging new students to 鈥減our their cool cups out鈥� so they can more genuinely engage with one another and the campus. Austin leads by example, showing campers that it鈥檚 OK to embrace the opportunity in front of them. Even more impressively, he knows how to be goofy and have fun while still taking his responsibility to his peers seriously.
